Sorry, this is late!! We only had a total of 7 nominations this week. :( SO, there isn't a delay - the committee members that were available have decided to make ONE big poll.

Don't be a HOMER!! :mad:

Voting will end Thursday morning. :)

REGION I:

Aston Whiteside, RB - Vernon
26 carries, 213 yards (8.19 ypc) - 2 TDs

REGION II:

Dru Prosser, QB (back up)/and Mr. Everything - Celina
Rushing: 19 carries, 60 yards (3.16 ypc) - 2 TDs
Passing: 8-12-0, 188 yards - 1 TD
Defense: 3 solo tackles, 35 yard INT
Return duties: 5 returns for 30 yards
Kicking duties: 6 kickoffs, one perfect onside kick & 3 PTA

Breck Holman, DE - Celina
1 forced fumble (that's all that was reported)

REGION III:

Randy Kitchens, QB - Robinson
Passing: 7-8-1, 225 yards - 2 TD's
Rushing: 10 carries, 89 yards (8.9 ypc) - 1 TD

Doug Allman, JR, FB - Liberty Hill
35-28 victory over Giddings

Rushing: 28 carries, 165 yards (5.9 ypc) - 2 TDs
just a beast in this game

REGION IV:

Andy Werner, RB/D - Hondo
Rushing: 30 carries, 146 yards (4.9 ypc) - 1 TD
Receptions: 2 - 33 yards - 1 TD
*no defensive stats, but this kid plays lights out

Elliott Hackebeil, QB - Hondo
Passing: 6 of 11, 90 yards - 1 TD
Rusghin: 13 carries, 32 yards - 3 TDs

hey it looks like Whiteside just might win one of these. He's been putting up 200+ yards for a few weeks now but getting no love in the voting.

Whiteside has my vote.

IMO there should only be 1 player nominated from each region.

Nor do either of Hondo players. 200+ yds is pretty impressive to me, especially this deep in the playoffs (that was his 3rd straight 200+ yd game). The closest stats IMO is Prosser. I listened to that game and the kid was all over the field.

The Celina fans have generally thrown their collective voting weight behind Whiteside. We figure we have at least two more weeks to get one of our kids the honor. And since this is Aston's last week he really deserves it.

Heck, it was hard to not vote for Doug....but, lots of better stats.

As long as the other kids are getting more than one of their stats then we should add on here Whiteside's defensive stats, he does go both ways and is a force on D as well.
