I had Newton at 40 carries for 282 yds and 2TD's. He had 188 yards by halftime!!! :shocking: He also had 1 catch for 14 yards. He wins this competition in a landslide.

I was in the booth too! ;)

He had 40 carries...and that's the same thing that the Allen scouts had as we double checked the counts that we had on him and on catches for every receiver. :evillol:

Just curious because you are the first source I have seen/heard that has him at 40. The radio acknowledged the possibility of a discrepancy on 1 carry, but even then he would have 41 for 296.

Quote: "Junior RB Tre' Newton ran ROUGHSHOD over the Colleyville Heritage Panthers (10-4) to the tune of 282 yards and 2 TD's on 40 carries as the Southlake Carroll Dragons (14-0) advanced to their 5th consecutive state semifinal with a 33-7 victory."

I don't know who wrote this, but whoever uses the word "Roughshod" has got the be the biggest tool bag I've ever met.:D
