The Jackson Clarion-Ledger is reporting that Snead is scheduled to meet today with several members of the Rebels coaching staff.
Chad Morris, Snead’s coach at Stephenville High School, told the newspaper about the meeting. Snead also is considering Texas Christian and Louisville.
The key in Snead’s search for a school is whether a team is chockful of young talent at the quarterback spot, Mississippi would seem to fit that prerequisite.
“I think there’s some interest from Ole Miss and some interest from Jevan,” Morris told the newspaper. “He’s basically just looking for the right fit right now and is going to come into a situation where the quarterbacks are going to give him an opportunity play. He doesn’t want to come into a situation where they’ve got a lot of young quarterbacks, he just got out of that situation at Texas.”
Colt McCoy, a redshirt freshman, starter for the Longhorns this season. Sherrod Harris, another freshman, redshirted this year. And two super recruits — John Brantley and John Chiles — will be in town this weekend for their official visits. Both already have committed to Texas.
