well this past Friday was ugly wasn't it? Ok well even if Cameron would have won I still would pick Bellville in this one. HOWEVER being that 1)Bellville beat RD 35-21 and 2)this is a home game, I'm thinking the Yoemen may keep it close so I'll go w/ a score of Bellville 28-18. You guys?

those 21 points came against's bellville 2nd string, if first team stayed in the whole game they score would not be what it is, 4th quarter all 2nd string... so not as close as you think

I have to agree completely. Afraid the Yoe may have a long 4-6 season, maybe 4-7 - if they're lucky.
Bellville - 31, Cameron 9
Did the Sappmeister give up head coaching duties to protect his record maybe? I guess "time will tell."

Nah, he didn't pull a Bob McQueen (Temple's former coach) and see the lack of talent, he just changed positions due to the stress of the job. I don't think it's made much difference as Mullins called the shots the past few years anyway but playing w/ Coach Sapp as your head coach may be the "it" factor. I dunno. I mean, back in the day when he would give us the talk at the end of practice you could tell that all of us there on one knee really cared about what he had to say and looked up and respected him. I'm not saying this is the case w/ Mullins as I don't know him but Sapp was our coach from 7th grade (6th grade PE coach too) all the way through graduation. We grew up w/ him for Christ's sake. It's just different to have a "father figure" and all of a sudden have someone else take the reins while he looks on. I'd imagine it anyway....Maybe I'm wrong...

Bellville shall roll over the Yoe, but i don't tkink that Yoe will be as easy as Rockdale was. Bellville by 21 eek! pts.

It's going to be hard to stop Bellville's 1st stringers on bot offense and defense....2nd string is not that strong yet and gives up alot of points. Bellville will still win big.

Too bad Caldwell and Bellville don't play this year. No matter what the old teams' records were, the two always played a fair, tough game with mutual respect just like in volleyball.

Hey, formerbellvillebrahma; I'm looking for the posts from just after the Friday night games and they are no longer available. Any way to pull up those posts? I've been out of pocket for a few days and would like to see the comments after the Friday games. I've asked "the board" how to get to these older posts as well.

Bongo, you can either go to the message board page and bring up pages from "10 Days Ago". Or click on search at the top right of this page and type in Bellville, and they'll come up in reverse chronological order.

Good to have you back on the board.

ok Cameron got beat nasty by china springs, Bellville started the scoring spree on rockdale when starting quarterback michael menley went down. After that happened the brahmas started up. I look for Bellville to win this one by at least 4 touchdowns. Even when Bellville bring in the 2nd string, Camerons young offense wont be able to score on them.

Bellville will dominate but the score won't be as bad as you think with bellville's second string most likely getting in the whole fourth quarter. Coach Chancellor is good about not running up the score and giving everyone a chance to play. Cameron's guns are at Texas now.
Bellville 35 Cameron 21

Bellville 45, Cameron 13

Offense gets it together, and it doesn't take them over a quarter to do it. One of the Yoe's TDs comes against the 2nd stringers.
