Hey SETX...of course!!! We got beat by a better team, obviously to my surprise!! But you know what? 6 years of "Buse nephew football" has been the best thing that has happened to us in a while...it ends this year. We accomplished all our goals...winning district, winning a ring, dominating LH, beating Cuero....all of them!! Another ring would have been great, but in the big picture, all is good. Thank you, Bryan, Tommy and Mikey....its been the love of my life for the last 6 years. You boys have made us proud! Now go forward and use what you have learned in life!

just got back....man....that was a ride but you never really felt like Giddings was back in it even when they were closing the gap because they just could not stop Liberty Hill's methodical approach. They tried and I thought their onside kicks were very well set up (super high kick) but just came up short. Good thing I didn't bring my "I Came To See Brock Run" sign.....

Congrats to LH on an outstanding game...Liberty Hill came in with a great game plan and a full team effort...congrats LH on a well planned game......Biggest turning point in my opinion in the game was end of the first half when fitz fumbled after a descent run and LH picked it up and scored...if Giddings would have scored thatz a 14 point swing and we're still in it...but its football and turnovers and mistakes are a part of it...too many fumbles and too many mistakes due to the great gameplan and teamwork by LH

BUt on another note...Giddings players weren't perfect BUT LH players had some issues...I don't care if i get bashed for this but #44 flipped the bird to giddings players as he was going into the endzone to get the personal foul....#75 began swinging at our player even tho he may have had some motivation...AND #20 walked towards our sideline and began screamin at the coaches....i know Giddings wasn't perfect but i thought this was disrespectful

for all who care..fitz injured his knee on the kickoff return to end the half....LOCKE came in and did a tremendous job at quarterback.....gave a lot of heart out there...i'm really proud of the kid after only getting three snaps all year.

When you have coaches yelling and talking smack to players on the opposing team like happened today, you should expect it in return!!! Allman was waving bye-bye as he went into the end zone.... Giddings players lost their cool once they knew it was out of hand!!! Enjoy basketball season...

I agree. This was the first time I have ever seen the LH kids act like they did today. Both teams were talking way too much trash, and stooping to that level is usually not LH's style. Fitzhenry is a hothead, and I have seen some unnecessary extracurrucular activity from him before, but the LH kids today were as bad on the exchanges. Congrats LH, but hopefully you will get back to the humble football you usually play.

I saw alot of things from Giddings that showed a lack of discipline, starting pushing matches, personal fouls, etc. However, I know LH fully participated in alot of those same actions. I've never seen our team act like that and hope I never do again. There is no reason for players to act the way those players did, but I lay most of the blame on the refs who did not maintain any control of that game or players actions. There were very few if any holding calls or personal corrections of players. The refs let that game get out of hand, it wouldn't have been a problem if the refs would have made their presence known and done their job by making a few calls.

I can't say whether or not the Giddings coaches were yelling at the LH players, but Coach Fitzhenry called timeout at one point just so the refs would get to see the instant replay of Brock's fumble that was run back for a TD (clearly a fumble, btw). I think that is ridiculous. He was out on the 5 yard line between the hash marks yelling at the refs. You can see where Brock gets his attitude.

The first half was a GREAT 2 quarters. For Panther fans, the hit on #5 & resulting fumble/ran back for a TD was a BEAUTIFUL play, wasn't it?! Being a former "defense" mom - I always love a TD scored by the defense.

Congrats to the Panthers and good luck next week in the Semi's. You have the chance to go farther than any Panthers before you. TAKE IT!

I totally agree. No matter which team you were pulling for, the refs were horrible. If they would have thrown the flags this game would not have gotten out of hand. I saw things on both sides that I felt were not "classy" today. This was a huge game for both teams. The refs failed them

I personally enjoyed meeting a lot of new faces froim here. That was a blast. I also agree that the ref were someof the worst I have ever witnessed.

The was plentyof smak talk from Gidding players, that caused Liberty Hill to lose its cool, something I have never seen before.

The Giddings Coach was way out of line several times. Yelling at both refs and players. IN fact he came out on the field to do it. No flags thouwn on holding, face masks, coachs running out on the field. Where were these refs from I hope to never see any of them again.

There are a number of things I could say about the "fight" and the actions by adults on the field afterward, but some things are better left unsaid in public by me. I will say that the actions by the Liberty Hill players is something that I don't recall seeing in the many games I've attended. The boys know that type of action is not "Panther football" and it has already been addressed by our coaches. COMPOSURE!


I was extremely proud of the boys tonight. Not many people outside of Liberty Hill gave them half a chance to win. You knew you could do it and we knew you could do it. You boys and coaches made a serious statement tonight. The 2006 Panthers are FOR REAL!

As a Hutto Hippo, I can give you an unbiased perspective. . . . Liberty Hill plays with alot of class and they are THE team to beat. Giddings is cheap. They talk alot of trash, take cheap shots, and when they get called on it, they act like you were the one that started it. The officiating was THE worse I have seen since our state game vs Tatum. The refs had no control of this game, and I would have flagged Coach FitzMcdougal several times for walking past the hash marks to yell at players and refs. A team will follow their leader, and it's obvious where the buffs get their attitude. But attitude dont mean a thing if you cant win. The panthers put the buffs away with authority tonight!! And the whole 5 minutes that it took the refs to decide who got the onside kick was absolutley ridiculous! When we played Giddings, one of their linebackers ripped our fullbacks helmet off after the play was called dead, and a buffaloe linemen booted him in the nose. That is the kind of stuff that you dont see from the stands. Giddings deserves to be where they are right now, packing up getting out the basketballs. Make 18-3A proud Panthers. You held your composure alot better than we did against that team, and your focus and discipline is what got the W. Now roll Hondo!!!!

then why did Brock run out of the tunnel and continued running up and down the sideline with his dad? He even took a knee when other buffs got hurt. I watched the last play before the half and the argument that occured between father and son. Brock wasnt happy about getting yanked, and your story is the third different injury that Brock took. You wanna talk about cheap shots. I've seen. Liberty Hill all the way!!!

BUt on another note...Giddings players weren't perfect BUT LH players had some issues...I don't care if i get bashed for this but #44 flipped the bird to giddings players as he was going into the endzone to get the personal foul....#75 began swinging at our player even tho he may have had some motivation...AND #20 walked towards our sideline and began screamin at the coaches....i know Giddings wasn't perfect but i thought this was disrespectful Now talk about the Refs and Giddings Mistakes!!!

i have NEVER seen a bunch of athletes handle defeat as bad as the Giddings Buffaloes did today..

yes LH isnt angels..but 17 year old kids in the middle of a football game are only going to take so much smack before they retaliate a little bit! i mean thats human nature!

The Giddings Coach was way out of line several times. Yelling at both refs and players. IN fact he came out on the field to do it. No flags thouwn on holding, face masks, coachs running out on the field. Where were these refs from I hope to never see any of them again.
