DMac from Arkansas won the DW award as well as a finalist for the H. For all you Sweeny fans, Wendel Davis LB at Arkansas was named to the 1st team All Freshman class in the SEC.

Dude seriously that was probably the dumbest response ever. Typical UT fan. No one else can be good or deserve an award because they are not from UT. UT is superior to all other schools just because of the fact that they are UT. Give me a break and shut up. I hope this year brought you back down to the real world and not the fantasy one you all lived in last year. Truth is is that you will only contend for a NC every 10 years or so where teams like USC, and tosu will do it every year.

Regiie won the Heisman based on one games performance. It is hard to argue against Vince. He won the Rose Bowl for UT. Take Vince off the field in that game and USC wins handily. Reggie was harldy even a factor in that game. Both teams loaded up to stop the otehrs superstar and Bush was stopped Vince was not. You are amongst about 10% of the population that after watchign the game didnt realize that the Heisman went to the wrong person last year.

WOW man, WOW. One game huh? Well here you go moron. Against ND, 163 yards rushing 3td's. Against Arizona115 yards rushing. Arkansas- 125 rushing 1td, 70 yards rec. Arizona St 150+ yards 2td's. UCLA 262 rushing 2td's. Fresno st302 rushing 2td's, 135 rec yards. Thats not even counting in his PR yards. Learn what the hell your talking about man come on. Reggie was in a star studded back field, you cant just load up and try to stop him he only got hte ball 13 freakin times in the game and had 82 yards rushing, IDK about you but thats not shutting anyone down.

I am not a typical UT fan, I dont see everything thru UT glasses..in fact look at the post about Ross winning Thorpe and I said he did not deserve it except for a couple of games.

I never said Texas is a contender year in and year out, in factI have told UT fans many times on this board they have no right to be ##### because Texas has won ONE NC title in 30 years or so.

I do know over last 5 years Texas has won more games than almost if not everybody, To me that shows that have staying power.

But please I ask with respect next time argue my points, dont tell me to shut up or call my post dumb, because I never do that and WOULD NEVER do that except for in pure fun.

A lot of media pundits said after Rose Bowl that Young should have won, not all, but enough...Mostly they used the platform to discuss if the award should be moved back to after bowl games

why because you said so? The Trojans were media darlings all season long in 2005. Go back and think of the segments ESPN did leading up to the Rose Bowl game comparing them to other great teams of the past. It wwas every night for like a week. There were analyst sprouting off that the Trojans could beat some NFL teams. All season long you kept hearing people say who will be worthy of playing the Trojans in the MNC game. The Heisman is a popularity contest and always will be. Who has the biggest hype machine behind them.
