IRVING - Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for November, the NFL announced today.

In his first full month as an NFL starting quarterback, Romo completed 85 of 117 passes (72.6 percent) for 1,124 yards with nine touchdowns and one interception for an NFL-best 124.7 passer rating.

Romo posted a passer rating of at least 100.0 in three of the four games and guided Dallas to a 3-1 record.

The Cowboys opened November in Washington and Romo, in his second career NFL start, completed 24 of 36 passes (66.7 percent) for 284 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions for a 109.0 passer rating.

The next week, Romo completed 20 of 29 passes (69.0 percent) for a career-high 308 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions for a 126.8 passer rating in a win over Arizona.

That performance earned Romo his first NFC Offensive Player of the Week Award.

On Nov. 19, the Cowboys handed the Indianapolis Colts their first loss of the season as Romo completed 82.6 percent of his passes (19 of 23) for 226 yards.

On Thanksgiving, Romo tied a franchise record with five touchdown passes as he completed 22 of 29 passes (75.9 percent) for 306 yards without an interception for a career-best 148.9 passer rating.

Romo was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for that performance.

During the month, Romo led the NFL in passer rating (124.7) and completion percentage (72.6), was first in the NFC in touchdown passes (nine) and finished second in the conference in yards (1,124). In his fourth season from Eastern Illinois, this is Romo's first Player of the Month Award

If T.O. wouldve caught the ball against the Redskins, Romo would be undefeated!

how bout a kid who got noticed by being invited to be a "thrower" at the Indianapolis Scouting Combine of '03. In other words, he threw in drills to wide receivers.

Hopefully this is just the beginning of a very successful future for Romo.

Only one sack allowed and it was because Romo kind of stepped into it. He's having a great year and should make the Pro Bowl.

Yes he would and also would have had another 100+ passing yards. Romo is doing a tremendous job.

Cant blame it off on one dropped pass in the 3rd quarter.
