Should be interesting to see how the 5A State Championships go over at the Alamodome in a few weeks. A neutral site for football state championships is something that most coaches were against.

If it goes over well, could we see a neutral site for 4A and 3A soon?

I say have 5A-1A at a determined location that rotates

MAke all championship Gmes the same weekend

Split between San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, College Station, and Austin

Different class at a different place each year

College Station? Not a very big population base there.

They should have all the state championship games at Javelina Stadium in Kingsville. The odds of having good weather there is much better than in other parts of the country. There is pleanty of parking space there and pleanty of hotels there and in Corpus Christi which is only about 40 minutes away. The weather there is much better than up north. The Alamo Dome is good but it favors the team with speed.

could see this but you would have to include places like corpus, longview, lubbock, amarillo, midland/odessa, and el paso. it can't all be about the I-35 corridor

yeah, but you need big stadiums to accommodate all the people that will be there...not to many, if any down south...

The idea sounds GREAT..in LA the weekend at the Superdome is AWESOME..BUT..Texas is just TO BIG IMO to have ONE predetermined neutral site for all classes.

The most central site would be Austin. But if you dont wanna have to worry about weather the Alamodome. I just gotta go up there and watch SCL play HOPEFULLY!!

Both games are being played at the Alamodome. And Lord knows those ads they keep running for it are annoying.
