yea to an extent..it was more of a walk up for pass rush or drop back in coverage depending on the call, the offensive formation and all that.

It was except when you rushed when you should have at least rubbed the TE off his route and he ends up running a seam route for a 55 yd TD lol

It was alot of freedom based on reads, which meant ALOT of homework and recognizing offenses..Always felt it helped me now in broadcasting see plays develop as they happen

Dude, this IS a 3A site. Most 3A schools have kids that play both ways and are key special teamers as well. I know that I could have picked about 5 of those options. You should have made the poll so that you could pick more than one option.

I was pretty much the most awesome pulling guard ever. :D I played the right side my junior year and left my senior year. I also played a lot of defensive tackle my senior year. And they let me kick a little bit but by the end of the game when i had been playing both ways most of the game, kickoffs were pretty much the only rest i got.

WR and punter. My oldest boy is in the 5th grade and we went to the stadium the other day and he was kicking extra points. So I backed up and he made a 30 yd fg...with room to spare. I thought that was pretty good. He has one heck of a leg and is a great soccer player. This was with the junior size football, one size below regulation, but I still thought this was pretty good.

I was D-line all the way until my Jr year on varsity. A guard twisted his ankle in a scrimmage and I was thrown in and drove a big ole boy 10 yards off the ball. I also pulled well on counter sweeps with a few knock down blocks. Needless to say I started the next two years on the Varsity Oline.

I played a$$back. Every time I ran on the field my coach screamed "get your a$$ back on the bench PANCHO!"

I chose the safety option, but my true position was utility. I started at free safety and played the following offensive positions: back-up QB, FB, RB.

It won't let me click on both my positions. I played O & D tackle. At Bertram we didn't have enough kids for many people to play one way. The highlight of my whole football career was beating Liberty Hill.:D (That was our only win in the 2 years I played. )

At some point or another between pee-wee and varsity I played every O-line position there is. Mostly I was a center.

Wingback/flanker on offense, safety on defense

Started on offense 2 years, played all special teams too. Fun times, lost in State Semis senior year.

The old "monster man" position huh? Similar to the "whip" in the 4-2-5 scheme now. Must be able to help in run support & drop into coverage

That's pretty funny Pancho! Still laughing from yesterday when you had these people going on the a$$ back position. That has been around forever, but I guess it was new to them.

Actually I was like Pancho even though I was a wide receiver. Most of years of high school glory was spent on the bench. But I did get to meet a georgeous blond from Premont after one of the games and got her phone number and got to have a date with her at one of Jimmy Higgens band concerts. :)
