Those are pretty impressive stats for a sophomore. I imagine we will be hearing his name a lot more in the next 2 years. on a closing note with beatys stats from wimberley. nobody mentioned that all those stats came in 2 1/2 qaurters of playing! but he should be nominated with his great performance against cuero this week!

Beaty deserves any and all praise for what he did against Cuero.

I checked the Victoria Advocate and I believe Beaty was 12-20 196yds 2TDs passing and 1TD rushing. I'm not sure what his rushing stats were just yet.

those seem to be about right. would of probably been near 300 if he would of connected on 2 deep balls that he barely overthrew. both of them big cuero defenders were speeding his way and he knew he would take a big hit, (which he took many over the course of the game)so i dont blame him for getting a little jittery.but its the other things he did. a lot of big runs in pressure situations. and making plays when everything broke down. every time he has been called upon this year to make something happen he has answered and then some! I have been totally blown away by him this year, I knew he would be good but he has just blown the doors off. I dont think there is any reason he shouldnt be considered for all state nomination.
