View Full Version : Why is there a perception Colt McCoy is not a tough QB?

I know some of it is in fun from Aggie fans, but it seems a perception has formed that Colt McCoy is not a tough QB, or that he is a baby..How did that get started?

IMO both him and McGee hhave both shown their toughness on many occasions. A guy can be as tough as nails, but you get a pinched nerve in your neck it is going to knock you on your ass..I dont care WHO you are

I think he's one of the toughest little bastards in college football. He may not run directly into 6-6, 270 lb defensive ends for fun, but he's a tough little dude.

Colt has shown he will stand in the pocket and make the throw while getting blasted.

Probably because he looks like a little kid, but that's just a guess.

Colt is plenty tough, no question here. But I do disagree with anyone who says the 2nd hit on him was illegal. That was a clean, hard hit LEGAL in college football.

He's never seemed that tall to me, but I am about 6'1". He's a cool guy though and pretty nice.

Im an ag fan and i think colt is going to become a great qb. he is only a freshman, but did very good. Once he gets in more games and matures more i think he will become one of the best. I see a future heisman...

My nephew is 6'3" & knows him at Texas. Told me Colt is bigger than you think. Not a little guy by any means. Around 6'2+" & 200 lbs.

I've got to slap hands with him twice....at the OU Torchlight Parade and the A&M Hex Rally....he is bigger than you think....

but he still looks like he is in junior high.....

He did an amazing job this year as a freshman. I just hope that this last injury won't hinder his career there at UT. I think he's got many great games left in him and who knows, dare I say another NC?

I'm just proud that a 2A and under QB is having great success in the big-time college level
