Your opinion. I heard he is a damn good passer and think he would be a great fit for the zone read offense that Texas want to run. Anyone think he could challenge McCoy for the starting job? He is rumored to enroll for the second semester and work out during the spring with the team. Below are his final stats from the 2006 season. Also from what I hear he was his team pretty much.
Passing: 122-218 (56%), 1805 yards, 21TDs, 8 INTs
Rushing: 129 attempts, 757 yards, 15 TDs

No. McCoy would be my starting QB until he graduates, leaves early, or can't play anymore. McCoy's got everything it takes to lead UT to a National Championship.

I was told that one main reason that he was interested in the Longhorns is that they would be red shirting him as a freshman. He's more likely to play secondary or something, but I've seen some highlights of the guy, and wow.

Great athlete, not QB. Colt is safe unless Brantley steps up after a redshirt year IMO. In other words, Colt is safe for a long time if healthy. Still think Snead transfers too - maybe to UH with old Stephenville coach Art Briles.

Yeah, are you guys forgetting the Brantly kid out of Florida? He's actually a higher rated QB.

chiles will more than likely be utilized as a cb/rtn man or a ramonce taylor type on offense. I can see him being the backup though
