...here in Bridgeport, we have what is called the Pigskin Preview. The boys have an intersquad scrimmage and all the players are introduced. You get a chance to buy your T-shirts, Caps, etc for the new season, and then they sometimes have an old-timer's game.

What does your team do to kick-off the year?

sinton, when i was a senior, had pictures, an intersquad scrimmage and then we had more time to take pics with the fans and what not. then we had BBQ put on by the sporst boosters

Greenwood has their intersquad scrimmage followed by the Kick-off supper where T-shirts, caps, noise makers, etc. are sold. We then eat and meet the players then have an auction.

Wednesday night we will be having a Watermelon feed for the boys.

My daughter is now a trainer, so she gets to stay and help clean up the mess the boys leave behind!! :D

Bridge City started having "meet the Cardinals" night" a few years back. It's at the high school football stadium. They introduced everyone from the cross country team to the drum majors for the band. It's a good way to get the community behind the team. wink
