I tried to get one. MSNBC reported I think is who it was reported they sold out in 29 seconds. We couldn't even get the page to reload.

Amazon probably didn't even lose any money with the tens of thousands of page hits they got in the 10 minutes span.

I GOT MINE!!!! Last one in Jasper Texas over the holiday break. The thing that sucks is my mom paid for half of it as a christmas present and says i cant have it until I come home for break.:(

I got a ps3 last weekend at the Cuero Walmart. They had 4 of them for some reason. But i resold it on eBay and made a couple hundred bucks. :D

oh...and the market has really settled down on the ps3 now as you can get a 60gb for between 650 and 1000 on eBay and the 20gb for 400-700. This is just based on what I've seen in closing auctions since last night. I guess Sony did a pretty good job with getting enough of them out to market in a timely fashion.

Their yields on the cell processors and blue diode's for the blu ray laser, are steadily improving. So those weekly shipment numbers should keep improving.

I wonder what I have to do to become a product tester for EA Sports. That sure would help me decide if I want to buy a ps3 or not. Their games are my primary concern as I expect that the blu-ray player SHOULD steadily improve.

Well Madden on the PS3 did add gang tackling to the mix. I'm liking Madden on it better than I did on the 360. Plus there is nothing like swapping out 20gb hard drive and putting a 120gb in your PS3. Makes a pretty decent media center.

It was the 20GB system that i got and it went on eBay for $725, so i made right at $200. Like adidas said, the prices have really settled down on eBay, but i'm happy with my$200 since i didnt have to wait in a line for 2 days to get it.

My brother-in-law bought the nintendo wii...or something like that...sorry, i'm not up to speed on the games...BUT, it was pretty cool...my shoulder is still sore from golf, bowling and tennis...i didn't like the baseball...i think he gave 250 for it at wal-mart

i dont know why the ps3 is so hot. i guess its all that blu ray and all that. me i will always play xbox. the only thing the ps3 has on the 360 is graphics. and for 200 dollars more on the system and 20-30 dollars more for every game... that isnt worth it. id rather have a 360 ne day. becides the ps3 has no good games just for ps3. 360>ps3

Remind me again how many games were out on xBox 360 when it was released??? Not that many. Give ps3 time. It will be a much wider success than the xBox 360. Halo can't keep the xBox franchise propped up for life. It will eventually go the same way as Wolfenstein/Doom, Unreal Tournament, etc.

20-30 dollars more? You get 360 games for 30 or what? The 360 is peaked out already, with the ps3, they wont even tap into what it can do for another 3 years or so. This thing is going to get better and better.

all im sayin is that the ps3 is not a system that im jumpin all over. i like the 360 just fine. just give me a first person shoter and ill wrek. HALO 2 & Call of Duty 3 baby:D :D . what ps3 game can beat those 2. and also i will get a Wii. get 2 systems for the price of another... cant beet that.

Nope. As long as you use a SATA hard drive that spins at 5400rpm, it's fine. Sony tells you how to do it in the PS3 manual lol.

They also have Gears of War which is the best looking console game to date. Epic has stated that it will remain a Microsoft exclusive with that title.

While the 360 has some great media center capabilities, the ability to now download hi def movies and tv shows to watch being one of them, the PS3 once you expand the hard drive is capable of so much more in that regard.

peaked out??? Gears of War came out 3 weeks ago (one year after intial 360 release) and it has blown away EVERYTHING on the market. To say that the 360 has peaked is ridiculous. As for downing Microsoft and calling Halo overrated or the "halo console," EVERY game console has had it's sole property character. And no matter what you say, Halo will dominate the market year after year because a) the online play is fabulous b) the games will continually get better and not just rest on past success' laurels and c) let's face it....it's friggin Halo. Sega had Sonic, Turbo Grafix (ha, remember that!) had Bonk, Nintendo has Mario, Playstation HAD Resident Evil (til they lost the exclusive license) and Microsoft has Master Chief. The 360 had 18 games at launch and the only one that was considered a huge success would've probably been Call of Duty but it wasn't exclusive to the system. As the year went on, XBox 360 exclusive games like Dead or Alive 4, Chromehounds, Saints Row, Dead Rising, Gears of War, F.E.A.R....even the new Pinata game is supposed to be cool. Another big advantage is that the online service for the 360 is so much better than Sony it's not even funny. You can download the demo for practically EVERY GAME out there before it's released for FREE and you get to download classic games from "X Box Arcade" like Mortal Kombat, Contra, Centipede....all the old school stuff! I dunno...until PS3 shows me something groundbreaking and "gotta have"....I'll stick w/ Bill Gates & co.

haha yeah i dont care what ne one says... halo is the best game that has come out (ever) on the Xbox. dont get me wrong i like also Call of Duty, F.E.A.R., and Gears of War. those 3 are realy good games. but halo 3 will domanate i personaly cant wait till it comes out (Nov. 1, 2007) halo 2 was good and it is still my favorite game. yeah laugh at me all you want i dont care. i will contue 2 play it till Halo 3 comes out. (also gears of war and call of duty) but it is just the fact that Xbox has always had and will have better games that playstation.
