District 6 ended up being a STRONG district. WF Hirschi gave Caynon a very tight close game, Vernon beat Perryton & Sweetwater. Now Graham has to follow suit after winning its first playoff game in a lot of years.

great game, we had an extremely good gameplan defensively, really didn't let edwards get out very much, he did minimal damage, and i doubt he had thrown the ball that much all season. wylie had absolutely zero running game. they did drop a few wide open passes that could have got them back in it, but they couldn't capitalize. we came out hot, but i expected us to put up more points than that in the second half. defense came up huge, and we were able to run the ball all game which allowed us to control the clock most of the game. big win for canyon, got the monkey off our back so to speak. one question i have for wylie, is why did they give us the ball to open both halves, and give us the wind in the 2nd and 4th quarters?? congrats fellas, you guys deserved that.

Congradulations - The Wylie Coach likes to take the wind in the 1st and 3rd quarters. He has done this a lot in the playoffs. He feels like it established which side of the field things start off on. It is hard to give a offense like Canyon the ball both halves and the wind

Canyon dominated the game at every position in the first half and Wylie dug themselves into such a big hole they couldnt get out. When they had their opportunities in the 2nd half they could not get it done and that is because of the way that Canyon palyed today. The Eagles are good. Honestly I dont know how Sweetwater beat them. No knock ont he Mustangs I just didnt see the team I expected to see today from Canyon. They were dominant and the better team definitely won today.

our guys improved every single week, and it showed today. i will say that the wylie team i saw today was nothing like the previous two seasons, they really seemed to lack confidence, and mostly they never established a ground attack. i give all the credit to our players and coaches, we were ready, and executed.
