Looks like they hit McNeal at the line of scrimmage most of the night and never let him get his wheels going.

The coaches for madison kept going away from McNeal, especially during the crucial second quarter. Special teams miscues hurt them as well, but they didn't even attempt to run McNeal until it was too late.

i bet he had five carries or less at halftime

Instead, they tried to pass, starting with their first drive, but their passing game wasn't good enough to keep them in it alone.

Why would Madison not try to establish the run? I dont' know.

Since Madison's offense only ran 15 plays in the first, Madison did not really have much of a chance to establish McNeal and the running game. With Celina winning 36-6 at the half, Madison was forced to vary from using McNeal and their ground game and go to a passing game.
