Wharton/Burnet opening kickoff...What exactly happened?

Somebody fill me in as to what happened. I heard something funky went on. Thanks.

Burnet kicked off and the kick went about 3 yards into the endzone. Wharton player bobbled the kick and then decided to run it out. Bad decision on his part. 3 seconds into the quarter, SAFETY. Pretty much how I saw it at least.

One of those very stupid mental error mistakes. One of many for Wharton on Saturday night. Some players came to play, some did not.

The young man did bobble the ball. He then started to come out of the endzone. One foot was in the field then he stepped back in to the endzone. The Burnet guys were there to down him.

We were surprized he ever started out of the endzone, there were several Burnet players covering.

The rest of the game he made no attempt to catch the ball.

On a kickoff, another of the Wharton players tried to field the ball. The kick was on the ground. He was coming to the ball, but not under control. He
touched the ball but couldn't cover it. Burnet recovery and TD.
