Swap Burnet and Bandera.

Sinton and Marlin ahead of Jasper in the 7&8 spots.

Newton up to around 11.

Faifield up to around 12 or 13.

LaGrange 20.

Stictly my opinion, counts for absolutely nothing.

Uh Don't get me started.. Celina or Gainesville arnt on there.. Both had games going down to the last drive against Atlanta and Dangerfield.. shouldnt that put there up somewhere on there?

Keith, My opinion is that Atlanta and Daingerfield should have not make the top 20, they were just not as good as a lot of others.

Jacket, It's just an opinion, but I think Elgin, Barbers Hill, Newton, Bellville, Jasper, Bridge City and Marlin could beat either of these teams that lost 4 games and 3 games....Now, Forney and Willis Point might well be a different story.

What no Port Isabel. They were the closest team to almost taking out Bandera in the playoffs. They got to be somewhere in the top 20.

Figuring out all these polls is pretty pointless if you really think about it.Change any one of about 20 plays and Greenwood could have beat Bandera, change one play in the Sweetwater-Greenwood game and Greenwood wouldn't have been there, one play in the Sweetwater Decauter game and Sweetwater wouldn't have been there to maybe beat Greenwood. What about Celina was a miised extra point from tying Daingerfield, who knows what could have happened then. The point is there is no best team, just a best team on that night.I saw the Bandera-Greenwood game and I believe if they played 4 times they would go 2 and 2,they werethat well matched. It was a great game by two teams who both gave all they had,it's just a shame someone had to lose.

The argument about Burnet and Bandera is a valid one...last year some fans from Forney thought they should be ranked above Commerce becuase they beat Commerce in the regular season yet Commerce won state..same here with Bandera and Burnet..I just feel if you win state you should be no lower than 2..yes I know Newton beat BC in the regular season also..but hey Bridge City went further in the playoffs..I gotta be consistent!

Au contraire Mr Keith 7. Bandera should not be ranked underneath Burnet. Yes Burnet did beat Bandera in season, but State CHAMPS and State FINALISTS should not be confused with one another. But I'm not trying to make an issue.

Keith7

Division 1 was stronger then Division 2 this year.. thats why I believe Burnet should be in front of Bandera.. plus they already beat them..

2.Forney
3.Burnet
4.Jasper
5.Sinton

7.Midland Greenwood
8.Bellville
9.Marlin
10. Daingerfield
11. Atlanta
12. Bridge City
13. Spring Hill
14. Newton
15. New Boston
15. Yoakum
16. Sweetwater
17. LaGrange
18. Carthage
19. Fairfield
20. Decatur

In my opinion D1 was far superior to D2, and I feel like any of my top 5 would have stomped a mud hole in Bandera or Midland Greenwood. I feel that since Forney was the only team that gave Everman a game in the playoffs that they were the second best team. Agree or Disagree?

I agree with dropthehammer....you should have all the D1 SemiFinalists ranked 1-4 and then get your D2 champs....D1 dominated this year, no comparison

Disagree Disagree STRONGLY Disagree. Tell me what the difference is between DI and DII and how its harder and then I'll tell you how you're wrong. Like Bryan Jacobs and Synjyn Dodd said when asked what its like to play us " Come and try and see who goes home the loser." Just like A&M and OU... Come in ranked, go home SPANKED.

Why? Because it mentions Carthage? HaHa !!!JK!!! Look I know that we'll never agree on a proper poll so why don't we wait til the final one comes out? As far as I'm concerned, thats good enough for me and congrats to ALL the teams because they did well and there's nothing anyone can do to change it. God Bless!

We'll never agree on the top teams in the state. So here is how I see it. Thanks to all 3A teams no matter what your record was this year, you sure put on a good show for the fans. Thanks for all the hard work and wonderful plays you gave us. We all know who the top 2 teams are because they took home all the marbles and that's all that counts. :D :p

hmm...Bandera ahead of Burnet...I will have to disagree...Everman and Burnet will be the top two, though in what order i do not feel like thinking about...sorry Bandera, but I don't think so...

HY, DROPTHEHAMMER...YOU CAN MAKE LISTS ALL DAY LONG, IF THAT WILL MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER...BUT BANDERA HAS THE 3A STATE TROPHY ...WE DON'T HAVE TO PROVE ANYTHING TO ANYBODY...WE ALREADY DID. I BELIEVE ALL THESE TEAMS WERE WINNERS....WHY TRY TO PUT ONE AHEAD OF ANOTHER ? PUT A LID ON IT!

Matt,

I guess that losing in the 2nd round cost Celina a spot? That's bogus as they were giving Daingerfield all they could handle in the second half and only lost by 1. Daingerfield then goes 2 more rounds and handles Spring Hill easily.

Thus you have to have Celina in the 2nd 10.

now how is that a mudhole stumping. Marlin Played
3 4A teams and we will be reckoned with in 03. keep your eyes open for the Div 1 and Div 2 match-up Burnet and Marlin .....My prediction Marlin 21
Burnet 14 see ya.

Stictly my opinion, counts for absolutely nothing.LOL! La Grange to number 20 behind 9-4 Atlanta? I don't think so! Don't you ever get tired of bashing La Grange? Ya'll need to get over the fact that the Leps won state in 2000, and then almost repeated in 2001 (despite losing to ya'll). Actually I was hoping Bellville would win it this year so Bellville guys like ya'll would quit picking on the Leps, but unfortunately, an inspired Bandara caught you napping. Yeah I know, Bellville beat Marlin after they whipped La Grange, and La Grange beat Elgin who beat Bellville. Funny things happen in high school football from one week to the next. Bellville deserves much credit for going to the semi's this year and beating Marlin. Congratulations! You know, some Bellville posters have been great on this board and have been supportive of La Grange despite old rivalries. I think La Grange at 15 or 16 is about right. Good luck to the Brahmas next season and I hope La Grange can earn a shot at ya'll in the play-offs for old time sake. Merry Christmas :)

I agree with Drop that probably Forney should be No. 2 but polls and opinions are just that. What we know for sure is that on the field Everman and Bandera are state champions of Division 1 3A and Division 2 3A. Comparing them is like comparing apples and oranges because they are two different divisions. I will admit that I personally believe Everman would beat Bandera on a football field but that is just an opinion and I am sure that a lot of Bandera fans would disagree with me and their opinion is just as good as mine since it will never be decided on a football field.
