Way to go Sweeny! Yall are getting pretty good at this overtime business. Good luck next week. I think LH will be surprised at how tough the Bulldogs are. :)

Guys, this was one heck of a game. Sweeny battled back & won it as you know from updates above. It was back & forth, momentum swings, Sweeny's qb goes down before OT w/ slight concussion, etc. Kirbyville fought hard & battled all day long. Give them credit for playing a tough, physical football game.

Total team effort by Sweeny's players & coaches. They came back & showed a lot of heart & fight, left it all on the field. Tank Carder was terrific as usual but many others were big too. Carder even played QB for a series before OT. Tramicha Young had some big plays as well. Just a total team effort all the way around fighting back & then winning it. Too hard to name them all right now.

Key play of the game to me was 75 yd. punt by Tank Carder to the Kirbyville 1/2 yd. line. KV fumbled on the next play, Sweeny took over & scored to tie it up. Then it got crazier from there. But that was huge late in the 2nd half. Both teams scored once after that before OT.

Looks like next week vs. Liberty Hill unless Crockett pulls the upset. I am so drained from this game plus the Aggies pulling out a tough one too. Wow, what a day!
