Going to watch Port Lavaca Calhoun play Friday night, any recommendations for places to eat in Kingsville??? I am sure they are plenty...just wanted to have a game plan!

THEN, we will be eating breakfast and lunch on the road as we go from San Patricio to Aledo (approx. 400 miles!) for the Sweetwater Game. I am sure stangGirl2007 is SO looking forward to getting up at 5:00 a.m.!:D :D ....This is her at the game Saturday

Pizza Parlor...816 W. King Ave
Young's Pizza...625 W. Santa Gertrudis Ave

Can't go wrong at either place.

You guys have fun down here in my part of the state. Sorry I will not be able to take part in any type of meet and greet that might be happening. I will not be in town for the game (and that stinks because I really wanted to see that game too!)

GO CRABS!

If you are in the mood for Mexican food El Jardin is great. Lots of good places though.

Definitely Young's Pizza. It's right across from the campus and was a fave of mine when I was in school there.

Pizza Parlor is the best for pizza IMO...if you want a sandwich go to Young's

But Young's has some good pizza too. Pizza Parlor has a great atmosphere.

When I go to Kingsville, I eat pizza. Perhaps that's due to the lack of originality of the pizza places in Calallen and Portland...or perhaps it's because mexican food is on every block in Corpus. Either way, you've got several good choices in Kville.

I don't know if you like seafood, but if you do and don't mind a little drive I'd recommend the King's Inn about 10 miles south of town. Go south on 77, you'll see an old billboard for it off to the left, and head left down that street until you see the water.

It may be closed on Friday, though, so you might want to call ahead.

Yeah, King's Inn is absolutely excellent. However, it is a slight drive...
