That's pretty neat, will you be doing the same for Division II?

This could be the year for the Panthers. I hope not as I would like to see our district friends play for another week.

3 time state champion in 54-56! Don't hold me to the years, but I think this is right.

I've got at least partial histories of every 5A program and I'm extremely close to doing the same with 4A programs at the following link. I'll be focussing on 3A once I get through those last few West Texas 4A schools I have left...

For the biggest playoff winners statewide I have records like the ones above for every team to win 50 playoff games or more at the following link:

great work WOS!
I love browsing through this, very interesting
it gives such a sense of history and tradition

one thing I noticed with Royse City is a score from 1988 that shows Celina 42 RC 6. I don't know where your info. comes from but I do know this is incorrect, because I was at the game and RC tried in vain to score the tying TD as the clock ran out, so it was a 7 point game.
I'm not complaining, just pointing out that some of the info. may be inaccurate.

Just a simple typo... the score is correct on the Celina history and on the RC one as well now... I have the score as being 36-42, which is a 6 point game... that's what the original news articles quote it as anyway.

McKINNEY -- Carl Jackson scored three touchdowns, one of them an 85-yard kickoff return, to lead the Celina Bobcats to a 42-36 victory in the first round of playoff action at Lion Stadium in McKinney Friday night.

The Bobcats (10-1) advance against the winner of the Aubrey-Olney game despite the performance of Royse City's Bo Smith, who carried 24 times for 213 yards and scored on touchdown runs of 54, one, 57, and four yards. Royse City finished the season at 7-4.

Here's a link to a ranking of the highest winning percentages among UIL football coaches through 2005

UIL Coaches Ranked by All-Time Winning Percentage (http://texashsfootball.com/board/index.php?showtopic=4396)

and here's the list of coaches ranked by all-time wins. It's only updated through 2002 though.

It's amazing the careers of some of these coaches at the same school. I know Eddy Peach (Arlington Lamar), Jim Streety (SA Madison), Phil D. (CC Calallen), etc.... they've been at those schools forever. Having a strong program that puts up wins every year will help fight off the For Sale signs in the yard.
