How is hoops season going. I know the girls usually play a very tough schedule. How is each team doing?

Rockdale's boys team faced a blow with returning starter and District 19-3A MVP Troyan "Tee" Richardson went down with a knee injury in practice earlier last week. He is out indefinitely, but I spoke to some players and they hoped to see him return within the next few weeks. That is all I can tell you at this point about Rockdale Hoops.

Huge blow. He is good in all phases of the game.

They will be okay. Sounds as if there new coach will do a great job. Liberty Hill is really good from the scores I have seen. Good luck.

Well, there has been an update on Senior Tee Richardson. Richardson will only be out for a few weeks, which is great news for the Tigers. They lost a close game to Franklin last night, falling by 5 points. Look for the Tigers to be strong this year and make a shot at the playoffs.

Franklin 66 Rockdale 60. One of the Rockdale kids had 32 points in the loss. The other good guard I think. Good luck to Coach Havelka's squad in the Georgetown Thanksgiving Classic. Tough one for sure.

That other guard is returning two-time First Team All-District Selection Katory Morrison, who was injured most of last year, but came back and played cornerback this fall for the Tiger football team. He is in great strength and as a result is stronger under the basket for the Tigers.

Any size to go along with that 1-2 punch? Any John Robertson's or Sonny Givens walking around???

Did you see the score between Liberty Hill and Salado? LH is GOOD!!! Salado lost by a big margin, but is very good. LH is still playing football, but most of those kids are straight hoopers. Looks as if Taylor might be struggling a bit in hoops.

Wonder if LH's 6'7" tight end or whatever plays b-ball

Saw them play last year. Graduated a very good pg, do not know if anyone else graduated. They had some size. Taylor is supposed to be decent. Cameron? Hutto?

For Hutto, off the top of my head, I know they lost Seniors Kelvin Ford, Ryan Dominquez, Kyle Knapp, Spencer Roth, and another player who's first name was Courtney, don't remember his last name. As far as notable returners, they have Senior Howard Limmuel returning under the basket. For the Cameron Yoemen, the only notable loss was Kendrick Pinchback, and they return Cordrick Mobley, who will make a run at District MVP, along with DeAndre Goss and Brian Scott, who was if I recall correctly the Defensive MVP. Should be a very competitive loop this year in District 18-AAA.

They are pretty good without their football players regardless of who plays roundball.
