Did I understand correctly that Huntington has two massive linemen, 6'5" 425 lbs and 6'6" 305? That's a lot of beef (or, I suppose it could be blubber). If so (or if not) is this team any good? Curious. Just my take.

They're picked to finish last. How good could they be?

I know in the scrimmage vs Huntington Hardin scored like 5 times, so apparantly they are not good at all.

They have never posted a winning season in the 20 years they have been playing! I think their best record has been like 3-7. One year they won their first game and all over town it had that they were undefeated! WOW!! needless to say they went 2-8 that year. They are kind of the joke of the district! I know Diboll does not have a good team this year but if they do anything just go have a 1-9 season and beat Huntington!

Hey Big69, not trying to pour salt in a wound, but I'm surprised you were so forthcoming about Diboll not having a good team. Do you think it's really that bad? I heard Jermichael is only playing basketball, is that so?

I think Vanover has talked Jermichael into playing. I think they will be better than they were last year, maybe 5-5 and probably make the playoffs, first round only. Come on I'm giving them the benfit of the doubt here. They will be slightly bigger, not much but a lot stronger and faster. From what I have been told, the defense is solid and very quick. Hopefully they can get the job done. What about Coldspring, think the Diboll game will be like last year?

I heard from a source recently that Huntington is considering dropping their football program next year.

Size is not the only key, these days a lineman also has to have quick feet and hands and be able to follow a play. Blocking for the run and blocking for the pass require bulk and speed, too.

company they would go bankrupt.
