Tell that to Michigan, Ohio State, USC, Texas, and other schools that can keep that classic football look. Tradition.
Nike messed everybody up years ago when they started tricking up Oregon's butt-ugly uniforms.
Cuero went back to a classic look with a "NY Jets" style of jersey. Good look for them.

Those are some sweet uni's, but I like the fitted jersies better. We had fitted ones when I was still playing in the Rock, and they were skin tight on you before you even put your shoulderpads on.

Yeah, they DO look small...but from their numbers on their jersey's, I wouldnt expect 6' tall players anyway. We had several small players last year...one was all state defensive backfield and the other was MVP of the district. Beasley was/is small too.

what is so special about either teams uni's. they look fairly normal to me. traditional no, but normal yes. nothing fancy at all. i guess we don't have anything better to talk about. is already the offseason. almost forgot, it is for gilmer. lol! just kidding, i know real well what it feels like to be the #1 or 2 ranked team and get upset in the first round.

somebody might want to remind Snyder (and esp. Blackie) that it's what happens in the PLAYOFFS that count. Winning district is nice...but it doesn't mean that much. Look at Graham...Bourquin wins 6 district titles...wins 0 playoff games...and it's adios! ;)

Winning district back in 4-3a, did count considering at one time we were all in the top ten in the state. Now that we've split, District title doesn't mean as much i get your point. But back then it did. Thats not living in the past, thats just fact.

And nobody won it outright...so it's a moot point. You can point out that Snyder beat Wylie...I can point out that Wylie beat Sweetwater...and Sweetwater can point out that they beat Snyder. I guess it's a big deal for Snyder to hang their hat on a regular season win over Wylie. Wylie prefers to hang their hat on big playoff wins (Everman, Aledo, Decatur, Cuero, etc.)! ;)

Ah yes, Snyder vs. Sweetwater

I do like the sound of that.
It very well may be the best rivalry in West Texas.

But...

Monahans and Vernon might have something to say about that.

Those Loboes will not go away quietly. Snyder has enough on there plate this week to worry about.

And so does Sweetwater. I don't know a thing about Vernon, but I thought the stangs would walk through Argyle. Being that Vernon is in the second round that tells me they can handle there own.

So for one more week only I'll say Go Sweetwater!!
And hope to see ya next week!!
