Which stadiums have you been to that charge for parking? I noticed Sweetwater and Vernon fans will be charged to park at Aledo. I read a story a while back that talked about Grapevine fans taking $100 bills or pennies to pay for their parking at SLC.

I know Victoria Memorial charges about two or three bucks to get in?

I think that's funny, taking 100 dollar bills and pennies...

wonder if they'll take checks...

Haha, I'm sure that after a handful do it, they won't have any change. Temple ISD charges $3, or at least they did to park at the Waco Robinson-Hutto game, which was awesome by the way.

I don't have a problem with it. You build a stadium that costs $10-$20 million or more, you probably need an ROI, so parking, concessions, etc... it all goes in the pot.
It's just another way to raise money for the school.

It's like a toll road...Taxpayers pay for the parking lot, and then pay to use it.

yah, I can understand that, but Victoria Memorial's stadium was built over 30 years ago as far as I know... 2-3 bucks to park and 8 to get in... thought it was 10 to get in last year so I guess they lowered it...

Most stadiums only charge for parking during the playoffs....Aledo didn't charge during the regular season...but they do charge for playoff games..Grapevine fans do the 100$ bill bit becuase SLC charges to park during the season..

It's times like that I want one of those license plates that flip up and you can drive right through, kind of like the guy on The Transporter.

I didn't have to pay anyway. :D

I totally forgot to get in touch with you so we could meet at half time!!

I met up with Gobbler Grad & 44inarow. I'll probably be going to the Cuero-Wimberley game so maybe we could meet there. :)

yeah, i thought that was a little ridiculous that you couldnt go out w/o paying to get back in...but i guess that stops some of the "goings-on" in the parking lots...

Yah, we never had that problem until last year... I remember a guy going back out to his car to get a quilt because his little girl's jacket was not enough to keep her warm and he had to pay to come back in...

they're cocky about it too...

we were walking out of the game at halftime last Friday night (had to drive up to SA so I wanted to get out of town early) and the lady started getting attitude before I even got close to walking out... she started shaking her head with her mouth open and started saying "you gotta" and I was like "have a nice night"

I don't need a degree to tell me that I'm an engineer. You tell me what you want and I will build it.

I got to participate in it this weekend, and have the flash burns on my arms to prove it. Building fence is fun!

I gotta have a long sleeve shirt... one jumpy move caused from a spark-burn can screw up my welding... I'm a wuss...

Must be. I have little bitty burn marks on my arm from splattering. My dad advised me to use some type of red welding rod that I had not used before, and I had to switch back to the 6011s because I didn't have any sleeves on and didn't want to deal with the splattering.

Well, I don't know if it's the technical term, but I use it.

Parking is sorry at Corpus Christi Memorial Stadium. I paid $5 for a parking spot and was glad to pay it and that wasn't at the stadium. I am surprised that CC hasn't decided to build a decent stadium with decent parking like Laredo has.
