La Vernia played one heck of a game against Bandera tonight. QB Baker showed the world tonight that a one man team isnt a myth. He did it all, from returning La Vernia's opening kickoff, to rushing and passing. Baker really is an amazing athlete, and he showed everybody, especially us from Bandera, what he really can do. Good luck to La Vernia in the playoffs, I am now pulling for them, because they really do win with class. They came over and shared a prayer with our players after the game, and had nothing but good things to say to them. There is no doubt in my mind that Baker will take this La Vernia team deep into the playoffs. Good season to Bandera, it hurts, but its time to get ready again. And good luck to La Vernia.
