Don't say that. You can't take anything for granted in the playoffs and especially not against a good team like Canyon. Last time I checked they were 9-2 just like we are. Yeah we beat Decatur I am very proud of our team but we can't dwell on that because that is what will get us beat.

Wow...the poll is way lopsided. I voted Wylie, but against a good passing team, you never know. If Ramos is on, it'll be interesting. Wylie always seems to do what ever necessary for the win. I'll take Wylie 35-25.

Canyon is good, but no where near what they were the last couple of years. If Wylie doesnt have a let down, like what sometimes happens after a big emotional win, they really shouldnt have much trouble with Canyon.

Wylie ?Canyon is always a great game. Wylie was lucky to escape with the win last year in Lubbock. They had trouble containing Ramos and he is back again.

yea but that was last year and its a D full of new faces from what they saw LAST YEAR (which seems to be the key word)....but who knows Ramos was and is a damn good QB, but we have a QB of our own thats good. last time i checked its a 2 way game of offense and defense. both teams get the ball:)

I understand that last year was last year but what my point is:

Wylie has had trouble THIS SEASON containing Running Quarterbacks. Ramos is a good one and almost led them to the win last year.

I think Wylie will be able to handle Canyon fairly routine, I'd say something like 35-24 or something.

As far as Wylie winning another state title, goodness ... it's still a heck of a long way to go. High school football is just plain crazy ... proof = Wylie just beat Decatur ... it's 99.9% unpredictable in the playoffs.

I think if Wylie continues to play well, and continues to be DETERMINED and not overlook opponents, then it will be a good matchup with LE in the semis and that would be a great game. That's my pick at least ...

What scares me is seeing the current Wylie players on here saying we're gonna kill Canyon, onto state ... can't overlook a team, it can kill ya.

Matt Smith is the leading reciever palying from the TE spot but they use him out wide or in the slot alot.
Wylie has 3 very serviceable running backs. None of them have break away speed but they can pound the ball all night long with three different guys and keep fresh legs on the field.

Special teams have been huge for the Bulldogs all year. Lots of blocked punts and at least two KO returns for tds.

Not many people gave Wylie a chance against Decatur and look what happened? Anyhtign can happen. Canyon will hae to have some revenge motivation. Most of them wouldnt admit it but it has to be there in the back of their mind. They will be super jacked up to get past the Bulldogs and advance in the playoffs. THis game will not be easy for either team.

I think the biggest key is not to be over confident or ever over look any opponet in the playoffs. Becasue if you ever think any team is going to come out and lay down for anbody then your only lyin to yourself

Canyon better play better than they did this past Friday. They were lucky to get out of Wichita Falls with a win. Canyon had a hard time stopping the run all night. I think Wylie will pull away late in this game.

If you were at the game in WF on Friday, sorry the eagles didn't meet your standards as playing well. The game Saturday, I'm sure will be a different story. Fridays game wasn't their best showing by far, but WF is no pushover either, you have to give them more credit!!

Wylie could come out a little flat if they aren't careful. They had a big-time win last week and have to come out focused. I believe that Canyon takes early lead because of this and after half-time the Bulldogs will take the game to the Eagles and win by 14.

I agree. Canyon will have to get a big lead in the first half to have a prayers chance in this one. Because Wylie will own the second half.
