Just in case anyone was wondering, Michigan St. beat texas 63-61 tonight. Durant is a beast on offense. Somebody needs to teach the horns to crash the boards. Both teams looked bad tonight but horn fans can rest easy seeing as 3 of the 5 starters were fish and SHOULD come around by Big 12 play.

Very young. Got pounded on the boards in the 2nd half. They will only get better & team defense must improve. Texas lacks a true big man though. Basically a perimeter team right now. Dexter Pittman (freshman & son of 7' 0" Johnny Pittman whom I played against) may be that answer in time.

I have a feeling that any team that is decent from behind the arc could easily beat texas right now. MSU shot 50% from 3 point land. They better be improved in this area of defense when they meet up with Baylor as they will live and die by the 3.

If I am not mistaken, Texas started 4 Freshmen and 1 sophmore.

I wouldn't worry either. Michigan St. isn't exactly Oral Roberts.:D

Durant had a stellar 1st half and a mediocore 2nd half. He was burned on the defensive end a few times late in the game. I think Abrams will be a nice compliment to Durant to provide them with an inside-out combination once Durant learns to be more aggressive with the ball. You can definitely tell that he's modeled his game around the NBA style of ball moreso than the college game.

Also...he's one of the few 18 yr old superstars that have come along that actually looks 18. Craziness I tell ya...
