Ut oh - I just wrote a house insurance policy for a home in Kyle for a 3:00 closing today - sure hope it's not "in the line of fire" seriously - that's terrible about the fire - the wind has been blowing strong here in Cuero all day as well

on the KEYE website (Austin channel), it says that the fire is near driftwood, and they're trying to build a barrier so it doesnt cross the highway...

on a related note, austin is experiencing power outages because of the high winds McCallum HS closed at 1 today

i just read that wimberley school buses arent going to be running..they want parents to pick up their kids at the schools...terrible, hope they get it under control

I wonder if Salt Lick BBQ is still standing? Sounds to me like, the fire started right in that area. They say it started from a controlled burn. What idiot tries a controlled burn, on a day with high winds?:mad:
