It is a national rating system and chances are the guy that inputs the data is from Florida or somewhere. The Eagles impressed me when the Leps played them. It was closer than the score indicated. It's all in the numbers here. Wimberley is looking very strong. R4 DII will be interesting with Cuero and Hondo in the mix.

Actually, it's not a poll. Nobody is polled, the ranking are based on a mathematical model assigning weight to wins, losses, strength of schedule, points scored, points given up and the computer spits out the ranking. The built in biases that plaque polls (see AP or Texasfootball) are not in play. It is the best objective assessment in the mix. But if there is one thing about Texas high school football, folks like to see their team on top. So I guess that's why some folks don't like Massey.:)

How well the teams you've already played performed in a week counts almost as much as the team in question and our previous 9 opponents went 6-3 this past week, including Dayton who jumped way up in the 4A ratings. Notice our strength of schedule was ranked in the 30's just a couple of weeks ago and now it's 18th.

Also, Bridge City, the team we beat by 36 points, moved up 3 spots as well despite the loss...
