in all honesty, isn't that what it would take??? sure a VERY great defense wouldn't hurt, but a very strong offensive team can put up 60 points, a decent defense could atleast hault an attack or two...

I think what boosty is talking about here is last year's Canton/Gilmer game... that would have to be the style of game Gilmer would lose in, until the finals MAYBE...

You know, you're right, Rockdale did have a down year, but it wasn't disappointing. Those guys played with heart, which Cameron has, but the main difference is the class that was exhibited out on the field, and that is something that Rockdale always has. Can you say the same about your team?

I think Hutto's going to have a fight on their hands. Robinson beat Caldwell in the early pre-district before the UIL took away their stud transfer rb Cantu. Caldwell came back to almost wreck havoc on d23. The fact that Robinson has a D that held Caldwell to 6 points says a lot. Caldwell scored 4 tds on Giddings, La Grange and Bellville. These are 3 of the top defenses in state. It would not surprise me if Robinson wins in a low scoring game, say 17-7.

I hate to say it, but I agree that Hutto may be in trouble. We have had so many injuries this year, many which have not healed. Also this week, many key players, including Jeremy Kerley have been sick. I know that in addition to all of the injuries, at least 2 will not play tomorrow due to sickness. If we were full speed, I say we roll. But, with all of the folks we have had out and will have out tomorrow, I have a bad feeling about the game.

I was actually more worried about Hutto being able to cover the potent Rocket receiving corps and Randy Kitchens at QB, he's a gunslinger.

They scored 27 on ROCKDALE and 18 on CALDWELL??? I am not too concerned with their POTENT offense. We scored 49 on both of those teams. I am much more concerned about the 7 or 8 key players that are injured or sick.

Yeah, and Rockdale had you on your toes with our passing attack, too....If, and yes, I know it is an if, Hutto's secondary isn't up to snuff for this game, I have a feeling that it's going to be an an aerial assault by the Rockets. Best of luck to both teams.

Well, congratulations to Rio Hondo. In all honesty, I don't mind being wrong in any of these predictions. I will say that I'm probably one of the few in the state of Texas outside of Texarkana L-E's fanbase that believed they would pull off the upset.
