Atlanta Rabbits (16-3A) and Gladewater Bears (15-3A) will play THURSDAY, 7:30, Bobcat Stadium, Hallsville in this Region II D2 match.

The Rabbits ended the regular season 4-0 in district to win the 16-3a title. Their overall record was 4-6, but don't let that fool you as they played teams like Gilmer, Kilgore and Texarkana High in pre-district.

The Bears finished their season 4-6 overall and were 3-2 in district to take 3rd. District losses come to Gilmer and Longview Spring Hill.

Thoughts? Predictions?

I need to stop trying to work, eat lunch, talk to the insurance company and post these all at the same time.

Atlanta wins, but in a much closer game than most outsiders think. Gladewater will play with them, and could easily pull off a minor upset.

i am picking atlanta based solely on the fact that if a bear were to chase a rabbit, the rabbit would most likely get away...

That is pretty much Atlanta football. Atlanta's 2003 team was maybe the fastest I've seen. In their playoff game with Gilmer they made the Gilmer kids look average in the speed dept. and thats saying something. Go Rabs!

Don't have a clue in this one. All I know is that I played against Atlanta in High School, and in four years I don't think we ever scored against them. But times change and I left those fond memories back in east Texas.

The best thing about West Texas is Snyder Tiger Football, and we don't have to play Atlanta!!
