Edna at Wharton

Edna travels to Wharton this friday for a big district 28-3A match up. Any predictions or comments?

it should be a very close game, both teams will probably make the playoffs and this could very well decide who will be district champ.

Is everybody healthy at Edna? If so, Edna wins this one by at least 7. If not, it could be a toss up, maybe even edging toward Wharton.

I had the pleasure of seeing Edna workout during the offseason... These kids work hard and bust ass, and the coaches love the game and their kids, their head coach is a great guy and made a drastic change the week he became the head man at EHS (week 7 of the 2000 season, and we had to play them, they led at the half)... You gotta love their chances to win district!

Edna is doing great. I think Wharton has a little more talent, though. This can be the edge in this battle. Wharton by 9.

i think it'll come down to who's offensive line plays better. Wharton has a very small line, but they are quick and strong and usually do a great job. the three games they have lost this year have been the only games when the offensive line wasnt dominant.

this one is tough to pick. edna has been consistent all year. they are an excellent ball club. wharton has its ups and down but there talent level is outstanding. they have the ability to score a lots of points.
both teams should make playoffs with wharton going big. edna's game with rice will determine small 1st seed.
going with edna with there consistent play.
