If anyone hasn't heard Barbers Hill completed its inaugural season in 4A with a 10-0 record.
This last Friday BH finished it District 21-4A schedule by playing Galena Park in their magnificent stadium.
BH did not get a first down on offense until into the 2nd quarter and at half time the score was GP-16 , BH-0.
With about 6 minutes left in the 3rd quarter BH finally crossed the goal line to make the score 22-7. Throughout the rest of the 3rd and 4th quarter BH proceeded scoring about 2 more touchdowns with a 2 point conversion to send the game into OT 22-22. It rained extremely heavily through the last half of the 4th, also.
As OT started the lightening got to close causing a 45 minute rain delay. GP didn't score in the 1st half of OT so BH got the football only needing a field goal. Instead BH proceeded to score a touchdown and win the game 28-22.
It was an amazing win that i just had to share.
Congrats to BH on their undefeated season and a great win and good luck to both BH and GP in the playoffs.
