Nebraska's receiver pushed off of Peterson right in front of the referee. It was a blown call, not a lack of position on anyone's part on the defense, at least not that play. Peterson was all over him...

A blown call resulted in a touchdown. I was at the game, I saw it, I was maybe 50 yards away looking down on it. If the refs had called the penalty, it would have backed them up. It wasn't a small push, it was blatantly obvious. The referee's negligence should never decide the outcome of a game, especially not one that was this close.

I have no vested interest either way, but I'm sure that a Cornhusker fan would have viewed the play as contact from both players and the refs simply letting them play. I understand your frustration, but even if there is a flag, who's to say there isn't another TD on the very next play? Of course we'll never know, but ultimately, the Aggies just didn't execute in the clutch.

You're right, they didn't, but it wasn't incidental contact, full extension of the arms by the wide receiver isn't incidental. Peterson had position and would have intercepted the ball or at least knocked it down had the offensive player not shoved him.

You were 50 yards away and you saw what 2 guys who were within 20 yards could not see??? Pretty good eyesight there.

But seriously...you will NEVER see the minimal contact that was on that play called as a foul in major college football. You may see it called on Friday night (incorrectly) but you will not see it on Saturday.

NO only the Texas fans who think they are a NC title contender by birthright even though before Mack the last legitimate contender was in the 80's. The fans who know that Brown was building not just a NC team but a true power understood the roadblock that was OU, but also knew firing Brown would not have been a step forward, but a big one backwards

You know, I was about to mention the fact that the biggest difference between Fran and Mack is that no matter where Texas stood, the players always seemed to believe in Mack and trust his leadership. I haven't really seen that from Fran. It seems like he loses control of his team at crucial times. Texas, even when they were getting their butts handed to them by OU or Colorado, played like they had a swagger about them. A&M is a great school and there's no reason their players shouldn't have the same swagger. I just don't see it. That's why I think Fran should go.

Nothing against BBDE, I just wanted to use this post as an example. I have no problem with a post complaining about a bad call. Where are all the posts saying sour grapes, you're a whiner, sore loser or your team should be good enough to overcome these bad calls and still ring the bell. These are the same comments that kept the Bellville/Giddings thread going all week. When your team plays a great game and you feel that the Refs cost them the game, it doesn't help to hear these comments. I admit some of the Bellville posters went a little too far, but those posters adding these type of remarks are just as guilty.

You Aggie fans show your ignorance by always wanting to blame Fran. First of all, you only have 3 losses this year, to Tech, Nebraska and OU. You are not supposed to beat Nebraska and OU. Their programs are better than you, accept it. As for Tech, well, you should beat Tech from time to time even though you don't. That's one game you lost that you probably should have won. Not bad.

Secondly, you team is a bunch of sophomores that Fran recruited. If you run him off now, you're screwing up. I mean, lets look at Fran's track record shall we. At SWT he won, at New Mexico he won, at TCU he won, at Alabama he won. Are you really going to try to convince me that the guy all of a sudden doesnt know how to coach??? Please. Accept it, its not a coaching problem, its an A&M problem. You have a better chance of having a good team in two years with Fran as opposed to without him.

I never said they didn't see it, because they did, I just think they refused to call it. I'm biased though. It never should have came to that. I for one don't want Fran to get canned, if he does I will have to try out for a new coach and won't be guaranteed my spot in the Spring.....:(
