In their first year in 4A Barbers Hill ran the table and went 10-0. Their district is considered weak but is better than years past. Galena Park was much improved, Crosby is playing like years past, New Caney brought some competition to their opponents this season, and CE King was loaded with athletes.

BH will play Beaumont Central in the first round of the playoffs. A huge task for the Eagles.

Congratulations on an incredible comeback against Galena Park. The Houston Chronicle stated that the Eagles were down 22-0 at the half and came back to win in OT 28-22. Big game by Blake Patton, 221 yds rushing and 4 TD's (3 rushing, 1 passing).

The success of Barbers Hill doesn't suprise me at all but I didn't think they'd go undefeated. Congratulations on the season and good luck in the playoffs.

Those Eagles play blue collar smash mouth football. Good luck in the playoffs from your Bellville friends and fans. Where's RBarker? Need some info on BH and their playoff opponent.

I know their opponent Beaumont Central has QB Brandon Williams a 4 star QB/Ath committed to A&M. He's 6'4" 210 and a great runner, above average passer.

I can tell you, BH is in for a battle right away. They're playing a very good Beaumont Central team who has a lot of talent and is a very physical team. Central has done pretty well this year, with their only losses coming to 5A West Brook (21-5A district co-champs), 4A Sterling (19-4A district champs or co-champs), and Dayton (22-4A district champs). They lost by 3 to WB, by 6 to Sterling, and by 1 to Dayton. They also posted wins over perennial playoff team Nederland (63-24) and 21-5A co-champ Baytown Lee (21-9).

Their QB is huge, and has committed to TAMU -- he can run and throw. They have a very good ground game, as well, and a pretty good defense. This will probably be the strongest team BH has played this year, so it should be interesting to see how they react.
