Navasota showed some class with a very tough offense. Their big sophomore running back #22 was a hoss! The Leps bent but did not break to never fall behind in a game tied up 7-7 at the half. [The Leps rested #22 Hunter Callis most of the game due to a pulled hamstring suffered on his 98 yard run against Smithville. Hunter kicked and went in late in the game on D to insure a Lep victory. ]#27 Janca ran for over 120 yards and one nice 35 yard td to go ahead 20-14 with 1:50 left in the game. Thanks to Bellville's miraculous late 4th quarter comeback over a determined and red hot Caldwell, and this win, the Leps have earned a playoff berth. They have come back from 2-8 in 2004 and 4-6 in 2005 to 8-2 in 2006. The old winning Leps are back.
Give it up for the Leps, Matthew! :D

The Leps were not on their game last night but the D saved the W. Thanks for the miracle in Bellville. The Leps will not waste this opportunity and will come out firing on all cylinders Friday. 29 seniors all wanting to keep playing football should help. The Leps have managed to win 8 games [with 3 of them in a tough district] much to the credit of these seniors who have so much confidence. I think they can advance in the DII R3 bracket. Every game will be the toughest. Going in as runner-up and facing a determined D24 Champion Sweeny in game 1 will not be easy. Go Leps!!!

Did anyone at the game see that halftime ran about 2 min over with the band and they left the flags out on the field?

Yeah, that was pretty funny. Navasota's Band and drill squad were good though.
