Including this year would make 3 consecutive for Ingleside.

I think Zapata's streak may be longer than that. I read somewhere that they are going for their 4th consecutive dist. title tonight.

Which of these teams are in danger of ending their streak? The only one I know of for sure is Borger. If they lose to Perryton, which is likely, they are out of the playoffs.

Commerce has put up their numbers quietly. It seems they had a couple of really good teams around 2000 but you don't hear a lot about them for a team that has been in the playoffs 15 years straight.

Iowa Park is in jeopardy of not making it either.

Commerce is in serious jeopardy of not making it this year.

In regards to Zapata, they've only been playing in 3A for the past 6 seasons (this year would be 7), before that they chose to play in 5A because the distances to travel would have been too far in 4A.... this is a list of 3A playoff appearances only... in 2002 they went 5-5 and missed the playoffs

What about forney. I think we've had a couple of runs of at least 3 years consecutive.

6 Regional finals, 4 State semifinals, 4 State finals and 2 State Championships during that 15 year run

I probably haven't heard much about them for 2 reasons - living in West Texas and little or no representation on the 3ADownlow. I'm a long ways from Cuero and Sinton and have never been through either town but I SURE HAVE HEARD A LOT ABOUT THEM!

They aren't in 3A and it's not a streak that's currently going right now.

Forney moved up to 4A in 2004 and went 3-7 in '04 and 3-7 in '05 missing the playoffs both years

Commerce had a ten year period in which they were the winningest team in the State, among all classifications. They had 4 State championship appearances and 2 championships. They've not been nearly as good since 2001. There's a slim chance, but it's highly unlikely that they will make the playoffs this year.

Celina has 12 straight appearances, and 12 straight 10-win seasons. The bobcats have two losing seasons since 1962 (or right around thereabouts).

both streaks will continue this year to 13

Palestine has clinched their 3rd consecutive 3A playoff appearance (5 in a row, if you count the last 2 years of 4A).

Not 3A, but Waxahachie has qualified for their 17th straight appearance in 4A.

Jasper's streak was 2002 thru 2005. Streak ended this year. They have only been 3A since 2002.

Wharton didn't make the playoffs last year (2005). They went 4-5 for the season and West Columbia, Sweeny and Needville were the playoff teams.

Celina wasn't in the 3A playoffs either of the last two years.... so that's why they aren't listed.

liberty was all the way at the top of that list almost last year until we didn't make the playoffs...there was hell to pay that year for coach stewart
