XM Channel 12 will carry a good amount of the music that you want to listen to. Also, in January they will broadcast about 20 hours of shows from the Big Ski Trip in Steamboat. They also broadcast from Willie's Picnic, Jack Ingram's RAM Fest, as well as CCR's Red Dirt Round Up.

I'm sure they have a station that plays it. I just like all of the big shows that are broadcast live on XM that you don't get with Sirius.

If music (and particularly Texas Music) is your main concern...then go with XM. I've had it for years and the only thing I wish that it did have was NFL (not a big need) and Big XII games. Sirius carries the Big 12 while XM carries ACC, Big 10, and Pac 10. It's all give and take. The sports channels are the same (espn, sporting news, fsn, etc) on both providers. The difference is in what sports the carry...XM with baseball, the above conferences, hockey, nascar, and pga tour; Sirius with NFL, NBA, Big XII, and Euro Soccer.

Is this a sirius question? Go with XM

There will eventually be a shakeout between these two competitors. They are both hemmoraging cash and both cannot last. Odds are good that there will end up being only one of them.

I have sirius and love it. It has several great country channels including a rebel country channel that is cutting edge. Sports is a big thing for me and it carries all the Big 12 games each week and the Mavs plus every NFL game. It is the faster growing of the two satellite companies so that may say something as well.
