**Check out these amazing figures I researched on Kyle Field, & just how far A&M has fallen. Kyle used to be one heck of a home field advantage to say the least, rivaling anybody in the country w/ intimidation & rocking, swaying stands.
Kyle Field has never looked better with the Zone, new Gigatron & ribbon boards, etc. Students & fans can still whoop & holler w/ anybody too. But the product on the field is what matters most & that has taken a nose dive. Read below:
In the 1990s @ Kyle Field = 55-4-1 (92%)
**including win streaks of 31 & 22 games respectively
Losses @ Kyle Field since 2000 = 15
**including 8 losses since Fran took over in 2003
So of the 19 home losses since 1990, 15 have come in the last 6.5 years & counting. That is cold, hard reality.
Bob Davie (now ABC tv football analyst) said the other night that when he was coaching @ A&M they went 50-3-1 at Kyle Field over 9 years. He was there in the mid 80s thru the early 90s in charge of the Wrecking Crew w/ RC Slocum.
Thank God I enjoyed the good ol' days & graduated in 1994!
