It was the season finale across the state of Texas for High school football. Cuero Gobblers were gobbling up their rivals the season in preparing for another great playoff season. While the Sinton Pirates sank another group of Pirates from Mathis with a score of 39-6 on their home field. Giving Sinton a season 7-3 and preparing them for the Bi-District round against Corpus Christi West Oso

At the movies the films were released Something Wild, Hoosiers, and The Tomb

On the music charts Hip To Be Square by Huey Lewis & The News, I'll Be Over You by Toto were climbing the charts while Amanda by Boston remained at #1
