Joe Pa - all time winningest D1 coach. Can't argue with that!



On another note another great coach is the Iowa coach. He does more with less talent there.

The real shocker is they left off Bud Wilkerson of Oklahoma. :eek:
He won three MNCs there and has the record for most consecutive wins (47) that will probably never be broken. He would have probably won and probably deserved more MNCs but they didn't have a playoff system then and it was a time when no one had a chance to be No. 1 as long as Notre Dame or a Big 10 team were undefeated.

He had many great quotes but one of his great ones was when someone asked him if football was great exercise and he said something like "No. In football you have 22 players on the field in desperate need of rest and at the same time you have 50,000 people in the stands in desperate need of exercise." :D
