Fantastic news indeed as TCM is showing two great Arch Hall Jr. movies. I am so pleased!
They are showing them early on November 25th (Saturday). Arch Hall Jr. was very much underrated as an actor and Hollywood missed out on this young actor. He later became an airline pilot and lives in Florida now.

From 1 A.M. to 2:45 A.M. they are showing The Sadist made in 1963. This is a fantastic movie that was vastly underated at the time by the critics but the public liked it. Don't miss this opportunity to see this great movie. Arch Hall Jr. is the sadist and his performance is terrifying and great. Many people thought he should have got an oscar nomination for this role.

From 2:45 A.M. to 4:30 A.M. they are showing Wild Guitar made in 1962. This is a great movie that possible inspired the Beatles. Arch Hall Jr. is great in this movie which has great singing and action. Don't miss this one.

I know these are in the very early morning hours plus two days after Thanksgiving Day but they are worth watching and if you can't watch them live be sure to set those recorders and not miss these great movies. They are what we that were in the movie business called Drive In Classics.

I envy your opportunity to see these great movies!

Good news for you indeed!!

Hey Ad in this movie Hall plays a seriel killer named Charles Tibbs and he is accompanied by his girlfriend. This movie was based on the Charles Starkweather murder spree in the midwest in the 1950s who was accompanied by underage Carol Ann Fugate. Startkweather was caught and died in the electric chair in 1959 while Carol Fugate served 18 years in prison.
In the movie three teachers (2 men and a woman) on their way to Los Angeles to see a baseball game have car trouble and stop at a junkard to get a part to fix the car. Unfortunately Hall has killed off the owners. This starts the terror as Hall torments the teachers forcing them to repair the car with plans to continue his killing spree. The Terrorized woman teacher (Ann Hovey) inronically is Hall's real life cousin. A great movie indeed.

I hope TCM shows The Sadist again for those who missed it. It is a great movie.

SPOILER WARNING (Don't read farther if knowing the ending may ruin it for you)

The movie has irony too. Doris the schoolteacher is chased into the desert by the murderer who plans to kill her. But in the inhospitable desert she gets some unexpected help from a number of unexpected and unwanted, up to then, "friends."
