Shawnbrey McNeal rushed for 130 yards to help Madison (8-0, 4-0) remain unbeaten with an 11-3A victory over Roosevelt (6-3, 3-1).

Both defenses dominated throughout. Nine turnovers were committed.

Roosevelt went ahead 7-0 in the second quarter on a 31-yard pass from Darrique Giles to Danny Hogan. Roosevelt led 7-0 at the half.

Madison cut the deficit to 7-6 on its first drive of the second half. Quarterback J.L. Wallace connected with Chris Mason on a 14-yard score on fourth and 13. Madison went ahead 8-7 when the defense tackled Giles in the end zone late in the third quarter.

Madison amassed 211 total yards and held Roosevelt to 112.

Lacorian Tubbs led Roosevelt with 76 yards rushing.

I watched Madison last week and I wasnt quite as impressed as I thought I was going to be. They have amazing talent but they played a very undisciplined game. Granted they may not have got quite as up for that game but I think the great teams get up for every game. Dont get me wrong, they are still a very good team. I wish I could've wathced the game tonight though. Sounds like a good one.
