Forney won the 3rd Qtr 9-0 & led 15-7 going into the 4th, just couldnt hold on

Taylor Dupree from Poteet is big, fast & good

I'll post the box/stats when I see them

MESQUITE--Taylor Dupree gained 202 total yards and scored three touchdowns to lead Mesquite Poteet to a 26-15 come-from-behind victory in a crutial District 10-4A matchup Thursday night at Memorial Stadium.

Dupree rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns while adding 42 yards receiving, including the go-ahead touchdown. Dupree's 22-yard catch with 5:46 remaining in the fourth quarter put Poteet (7-2, 4-2), who trailed 15-7 late in the third quarter, on top 19-15.

The win put Poteet in prime position to earn a 10-4A playoff spot while severly jeopardizing post season aspirations for Forney (4-5, 3-3).

Seth Sartain contributed 142 yards and one touchdown passing along with 51 yards and a score rushing for Poteet.

Forney's Peter Smith gained 96 yards on the ground and Thomas Moreland booted three field goals.

I think their chances are pretty slim. Even with a loss next week, Poteet would still have the head to head over Forney. I'm not sure it's possible for us to get in.

i think the only way is if Poteet loses to someone this next week creating a 3 way tie for 3rd. Then they would have to go by points

did you see Logan Turner's stats from last night....?

he ended up last night 38 of 60 for 510 and 5 tds

BUT THEY LOST 70-44. AMAZING!

forney competed for a spot in the playoffs in 4A. That is a big step in the right direction!
