Tony started, but that doesn't mean he will stay in. Spurs need to step it up a notch.

TD has been practicing his outside shot so they let him take a few to get his "feel". If he does then he'll get back to that MVP form.:)

Josh Howard should have been ejected for intentionally shoving and knocking Bruce Bowen to the floor, but he got away with a flagrant foul. I hope the league fines his butt.

GREAT game to start season for both teams..play-off atmosphere lboth teams looked good IMO these are the TWO teams to be beat in the West this year.

One thing..Spurs player..and I say this as a fan of both teams..PLEASE stop acting like every foul on you is a terrible OMG call, and please quit acting like every time your touched it is a foul

Spurs had 37 Ft Dallas 16..ONLY problem had with the game, not the calls, but the Spurs reaction to calls and non calls

This is just the beginning of a long season. And as evidenced by last year anything can happen.

I know you are joking about this but Elson did look pretty good to me. What happened to the Mavs in the 4th quarter? Was it that the Spurs turned up the defense a notch or did the Mavs get a little cold? I think it was a combination of both somewhat. The Mavs did not look bad, but after they played so blase in preseason(against SA) they established themselves as needing to improve alot more than the Spurs did from then to now. This is the first game of the season and the Spurs do tend win the first one, then go .500(+) over the next 10 games or so. It'll be interesting to see who is on top at the All-Star game. I would not be shocked if Dallas or Phoenix is on tops then. Then the "real" games start.:cool:

That was a great hit by Josh Howard...I was at the game and Bruce was all over Josh before the push happened and with it being a intense rivalry game Josh just let his emotions get the best of him...but i hope Jerry Jones was watching cause he might think about signing him in the offseason as a new linebacker lol... but it was a good game for both teams i just wish the mavs would have came out with the victory....but when the 24th comes around they will get there revenge in San Antonio.

In San Antonio? Ill have to go to that game then, because I have never been to a game where the spurs have lost, just wondering what it might feel like.

It shouldnt be that hard to get tickets..we got 4 tickets to the game Thursday night the night before the game.
