It took forever for me to get in. Had the load bar for a long time.

I thought I might need a newer version of java...when I went to upload it told me a portion of the java I was using was "suspended"...whatever THAT means.

So I am downloading the new version right now...we will see if that makes a difference.

This could take forever, so I am gonna go eat!

Is is odd that I have a red "X" in the upper left corner?

It's been "loading" for awhile, but that's to be expected I'm sure.

Something's wrong, RM. When I went in., all I got was that screen with a "loading" thing that seemed to take forever, then let me in.

Tried that too...still didn't work! I am on a different computer now. This one is OLD, SLOW and it sounds like it's on it's last leg the way it is grinding right now.

Well, I installed whatever updates were there for the java on my laptop. Have to reboot, so hopefully that will help.

I got that message too and I'm on DSL. Now you guys know why I fear change. It never seems to go smoothly for me no matter what the change is. :dispntd:

I guess the chat is worthless to me now.....3 different computers now and I can't get in on any of them.

AOL has anti-java stuff and tools(A-hole-L is not conducive to browsing anyway ;)). Use another type of browser. Try your IE browser, but you'll have to update to the new java anyway.:(

I tried putting XP on it....got the old "fatal error" message.

I know I just need to break down and buy a new computer....but I have other priorities that I must attend to first.

I cannot rationalize buying a brand new computer just so I can chat....I just won't chat!:(
