My vote would go for Gilmer. That's a really special team they've got out there this year. I believe they've scored over 60 on three occasions this year and are putting up about 57 points or so per game thus far. They could probably be on pace to set some national records if they didn't have to keep pulling their starters out of games so early.

What really caught my attention about Gilmer is this. I haven't seen the updated yardage stats that would include the Mineola game, but going into that one they were averaging 492 yards a game and were putting up that and almost 57 points a game. They're doing this while having the ball for only EIGHTTEEN MINUTES per contest. That's just amazing in my opinion.

Talent wise Gilmer..Style wise, I LOVE the Libery Hill offense..I sat with a coach once as he watched the LH offense and he said with the disciplns taught at LH it is the hardest to defend

All you gotta do is come watch us play one time.

We have scored 80% of our points in the 1st half. Our starters are done after 1st series of 3rd quarter. I'll be glad when we play somebody that gives us a chance to keep our starters in for the full game. I'm sure it's coming soon.

That is hard to argue with and look at all the D1 prospects Gilmer has. This team is loaded and Im sure that in their minds that anything less than a State Championship will be a disappointmant. IMO.

part of me wants to say liberty hill, but that would be based on the 84 pt display vs gatesville. i say cuero because they can beat you in more ways than liberty hill. i dont know too much about gilmer

Cuero does have a very good offense...they can hurt you with Noack running it in, throwing it to either Grey or Scott, or one of their two great backs could be gone before you can turn around. I havent seen Gilmer play, so I cant make a decision on them, so I am going with Cuero.

Cuero has the best offense n 3A and the third time will be charm this year.

Cuero is very balanced with plenty of weapons. I think with what Gilmer has done they would have to be considered one of the best. LH's offense is so confusing, but it is fun to watch (unless you are playing them). There are so many good offenses out there, but I'll go with my Gobblers because they can hurt you in so many ways and I know what they are capable of doing ;)

I hope you are right :)

Everything is relative - it's hard to say -
Team A is better than Team B cause they have xyz yards a game - when Team A and Team B are playing completely different teams..... let's just agree that Cuero, LH and Gilmer are all great ball clubs - until they play head to head - NO ONE - homer or not - can say which team is the best (well you can say it lol but NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE which is the best team)

I'll say Gilmer simply because of the talent they have...

it's a big state.:D there are lots of great offenses in the state. the question was the best. if you look at the facts this is not even a question. Gilmer can be beat, but you better score, cause they are gonna get their's.

For this topic, you have to look at a bigger picture. Just because you score 50 pts. a game doesn't mean you are the best. What teams have you played? Was their defense good? etc. If you play weak teams and score 50 pts., but another team plays stouter competition and scores 21 pts., it would look as if the team that scores 50 pts. has a better offense, but not so. And for the record, I was not implying anything towards Gilmer.

That's true... so what do you do? Do you look at the massey ratings? If so I believe it has been between Celina, Gilmer, and Giddings throughout the year.

Better throw Liberty Hill in there too, their offence rates high on the massey ratings also.

I think Decatur can match up on offense,
if its all about scoring then Gilmer wins Decatur is well balanced this year and i for one am not handing the states best offense to them, but this just seems to be about scoring
