No he isn't. He's just trying to pat him on the backside and tell him he's doing a good job.

Westwood Warriors saw a bad moon rising over A.C. Bible Stadium in Leander Friday Night, 10/06/06 taking a 28-14 loss to the house.

In this photo #7 Tanner Hogue, #21 Richard Havins, and #66 Scott Lacey give it there all to block an extra point.

There was a full moon that weekend so it could be real. However a photography trick with full moons is to shoot a roll and place the moon in different places on the frame. Then store that roll and take it out when you intend to use it. You can then shoot over it and it will appear that the moon is in the picture. A lot of the pictures of full moons are done this way. But the guy could have got lucky, however it just seems the moon doesn't belong. There is no reflection of it in their helmets.

I was at a game in Austin that night and remember the moon being really freaky that night. I say it's real.

i bet its real - on that night because of a wierd atmospheric condition the moon "appeared" 20% bigger than normal ... that, along with a telescopic lens makes the pic look like it does

thats my story and i'm stickin' to it

The moon can look huge when it's low on the horizon, especially a full moon. It has to do with the distortion in line of sight caused by the thickness of the earth's atmosphere. The higher the moon gets, the smaller it looks. The thinnest point is directly overhead.

Some of you folks need to take a serious look at the moon sometime. It is nowhere near that big with the naked eye, I dont care whether its straight overhead, or just over the horizon. This is obviously a telephoto shot of the moon, superinposed on this picture. It does look cool though.

Do any of you remember that Monday night football game many years ago, when one of the camaras, was focused in tight on a full moon, and a large jet flew right in the path? Now that was cool! They showed it a number of times that night afterwards, and stopped the film when the plane was in the dead center of the moon. I think dandy Don was about half drunk and had to keep seeing it over and over again. Heck, I was stone sober and was amazed, I can only imagine how cool it would have been, 3 sheets into the wind. :D

I have personally seen the moon appear even larger than what is in this picture. I've been on campouts many times observing the sky, especially at night. It's not that unusual. The fact that it appears yellowish is a dead give away about the phenomenon I mentioned. I've seen it even take on a reddish/orange hue when low on the horizon.

it looks like that guy blocking the kick is actually shooting a free throw using the moon
