Fran should have stayed at TCU where he could run the option and get QBs that weren't considered NFL type QB's. There is always a bunch of really talented kids out there that TCU, SMU, Houston, North Texas and other local colleges can get.

These kids are out there. Look at the receiver that Baylor has (#7), he is as good as anyone I've seen this year. This is including Sweed and the kid from Michigan.

LOL. They have the same opportunities as Texas, A&M, Ohio State, and Kansas to go to the Big Dance and Omaha, don't they? ;)

Seriously, though, he was one of the big assistants at Ohio State before leaving for Youngstown. IMO, he would've done great whether he was at tOSU or Youngstown.

as i recall aggie jonh hated fran at the beginning of the year mack is a better coach but still overrated and he is the best recruiter in college football

I think the team he has in place is doing what they are doing, not the coach. we didn't pay him 2 mil a year to win 5-6 game and were willing to wait 4 years to see results. I still would want him out after this season. We have the talent to win a BCS bowl, but won't with Fran. I never waivered from my dislike with fran.

I don't know how many times I've read this, but being a "firey" coach is the most overrated pile of crap I've read on these boards.
